food for the skin

So lately I’ve been really busy between doing what I love as an artist and spending as much time on the outdoors with family and friends, sometimes I just want to come home, put my feet up and relax. One of the things I like to splurge on is a day at the spa. I discovered some ingredients that I used from my pantry to create a face/body scrub and a mask for an at-home-spa-retreat using all but natural ingredients.
Exfoliator: to remove dead skin off the surface of the skin
- sugar (brown is better, granules are finer) get rid of dead skin on the surface of the skin leaving your skin radiant and smooth
- Olive oil
*optional -vanilla extract-to give it a scent
Mask- to balance skin ph
Avocado – rich in Vitamin E prevents skin’s damage from free radicals and keeps skin hydrated
and enjoy!

Four secret concealer places that will make your face look more awake.
1.The inner corners of the eye ( part that’s is darkest around the eye area)
2Either sides of the nosril ( minimizes discoloration)
3.Either sides of the mouth ( hide imperfections)
4. under the eyes (cover-up dark circles)
Using a small concealer brush helps to get right up in the corners where your fingers can’t reach.

A lot of the time women feel the need or pressure to wear makeup everyday, which is ok if you’re ok with it, but makeup doesn’t necessarily mean a full face of makeup (foundation, powder, blush, eyeliner, lip liner lipstck/gloss) all the time. I find that I have found the pleasure in having fun with makeup if you give it a break (go without) have a little, and going all-out when needed (special occassions) and so on. To me its almost like a treat when I get a full face of makeup because I look forward to doing it and not just doing it because I have to or feel naked without it. Some Mascara, lipgloss an a little eyeliner and you’re good to-go.
